Job Description:

Responsibilities

 


Development and implementation of risk management tools and disciplines in relation to both existing business and new product/business development projects. The individual will also work closely with the Capital Management team on capital management initiatives and with the HQ Risk team based in Richmond , Virginia .
A high profile role with frequent reviews being presented to the Business component Risk Committee and also the Risk Leader of the US Parent Company.


Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the identification and implementation of appropriate risk tools and techniques, working closely with the Risk HQ team
* Assist in preparation of Rating Agency presentations
* Work with product and business development teams in identification and quantification of risks in relation to new products and business opportunities
* Work with capital management team on assessment and implementation of capital initiatives
* Develop and implement appropriate measurement tools in relation to the operational risk component of individual capital adequacy models
* Provide technical insurance support to sales and operational teams, as appropriate
* Contribute to strategic business initiatives

Qualifications

 

Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* Degree educated
* A Minimum of 6 years Insurance /or Financial Services experience
* At least 5 years Risk experience
* Excellent spreadsheet, modelling, data extraction and data management skills
* Fluent in English
* Demonstration of strong Presentation Skills to Senior Management

* Demonstration of Leadership qualities, coach and mentor
* Self-motivated, high energy levels with ability to work well under pressure

* Qualified/Part-Qualified Actuary

* Degree in Statistical/Numerical content
* Additional European Language
