Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The regional risk manager will be responsible for the identification,
assessment and management of all risks associated with existing and
new business for those countries comprising a particular region. A high
profile role with frequent reviews being presented to the Business component
Risk Committee and also the Risk Leader of the US Parent Company. The
position will report directly into the Risk Director based in London
and will have a dotted line into the Regional Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the identification and implementation of appropriate risk tools,
key metrics and triggers, including monitoring, analysis and reporting
to HQ Risk Committee.
- Analyse underlying customer data and identify and assess all risks
in respect of client proposals, including review of pricing assumptions
and assessment against established risk appetite
- Contribute to strategic business initiatives working with product
and business development teams in identification and quantification
of risks in relation to new products and business opportunities
- Lead the regional contribution to the risk based capital modelling
initiatives including economic capital modelling for both life and general
insurance business.
- Production of country specific Portfolio Quality Analysis and Product
or client specific In-Force Reviews on a periodic basis.
- Provide technical insurance support to sales and operational teams,
working with Legal and Sales teams to finalise third party contracts
and monitor changes in regulatory, legislative and economic environment
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Degree Educated
- 3 - 5 years Insurance /or Financial Services Risk experience (Preferred
Payment Protection exp)
- Excellent spreadsheet, modelling, data extraction and analytical skills
- Fluent in English ( plus respective language)
- Excellent Presentation Skills to Senior Management and strong interpersonal
skills
