ISK are working with a large management consultancy - one of the market leaders in the Transport Sector.  The details below show the specific area of expertise they are currently looking for.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a company working on some of the highest profile assignments in this industry.

Transportation sectors, in the UK , and international

• Railways and rail operators
• Airports and airlines
• Highways, bridges, charging, trucking etc
• Ports and carriers
• Logistics providers (DHL, postal etc)

Note:

Previous consulting experience in one or more of the above would be an advantage. Either strategy house or transaction services within big 4 accounting firm. Functional expertise may have been gained in other asset intensive or safety critical industries such as regulated utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing.

Functional:

• Economics (policy, business planning and forecasting, economic evaluation)
• Financial, business analysis with domain experience.
• Technologists (design and implementation of asset management systems, intelligent transport systems (ITS), smart cards, ticketing systems, IT architecture etc)
• Engineering (project design, development, systems integration, management, RAMS, safety and risk experts)
• Commercial (procurement, contracting etc)
• Organisational design and change management
• Other functional experts in say HR, finance, marketing with sector specific experience.

Education:

• Good degree from leading institution
• Higher degree (MSc, MBA , MA , MPhil, Phd)
• Professional qualification (Chartered Engineer, Member of relevant institution etc)

Other skills:

• European languages a distinct advantage (probably, but not necessarily, in this order: French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Russian, one of the scandinavian countries etc)
• Arabic
• Other relevant industry training aligned to the above
