Business Modelling – Manager

London £50-70,000 plus excellent package

Their team of Business Modelling experts is growing fast. They are building their capability to service their clients' needs for high-quality, commercially focused models that provide real business insight. They are currently looking for Managers to join their rapidly expanding Business Modelling Group in Strategic and Commercial Intelligence.

The Responsibilities

The projects that SCI work on are often time pressured and will involve working in a variety of project teams. Working as a Manager in a modelling team you will:

 

  • Contribute to large modelling projects, scoping studies and other complex projects
  • Manage projects to a successful conclusion within agreed timescales  
  • Oversee and direct work of up to two modellers. This will include coaching and appraising
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of modelling proposals  
  • Have the ability to see the big picture, and interpret model output to give business advice  
  • Carry out all stages of best practice model development methodology 
  • Develop relationships with client staff, actively manage client interfaces, and take responsibility for delivery and fulfilment of projects  
  • Support business development initiatives and proactively seek roles for the Transaction Modelling Group  
  • Define an appropriate scope of work and budget accordingly.

 

The Person

 

To succeed in this demanding role you will need to have an A Level (or equivalent) maths qualification and a numerate degree. For this specific role, they are also seeking practical experience in system dynamics modelling. You may also have an operational research qualification.

 

 

You are likely to have five years (or more) experience with other modelling groups, who may include:

 

  • Corporate or Government operational research departments  
  • Consultancy practices
  • Policy or business planning departments  
  • Other accountancy firms

 

The following experience is desirable:

 

  • Proven ability of deliver large complex models, preferable in the area of system dynamics or related applications  
  • Exposure to government, healthcare or an infrastructure industry sector
  • Proven experience of leading modelling teams and undertaking client facing roles with high quality deliverables
