Financial Advisory – Associate Director

London - £60-90,000 plus excellent package

 

The Role

Our client is a global leader in Transaction Services and the chosen business partner for many of the world's leading organisations. This is reflected in the breadth of transactions they are involved in - from IPOs, acquisitions and disposals to joint ventures and private equity related projects.

They are recruiting across a number of different industry sectors and many of their clients are household names and global market leaders in their marketplace:

1) Private Equities Group

2) Consumer and Industrial Markets (CIM)  which covers a wide range of industry sectors from retail to automotive, from food and drink to pharmaceuticals

3)Financial Services (FS) services clients in the financial sector including retail and investment banking, insurance, wealth management and leasing.

4) Information Communication and Entertainment (ICE)

5) Infrastructure and Government (I& G) services five main industries: property, construction, Private Finance Initiative & Public Private Partnership projects.

Working in multi-disciplinary teams, they provide a comprehensive transaction services, often with a highly international flavour. Work includes pre-deal evaluation, target evaluation, bid services, listing work and structuring advice.

The Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as principal client day to day contact on major transactions developing a complete understanding of issues and their potential impact on the value of the transaction.   
  • Pro-active involvement in account management and business development 
  • Operating as an effective team manager, coach, mentor and delegator
  • Presenting to clients/targets in formal situations 
  • Knowledge of Sale & Purchase Agreements and related M& A documentation 
  • Involvement in generating new products, services or business processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong internal network with strong awareness of the full range of Private Equity services our client can offer to its Private Equity Clients 
  • Managing the delivery of target GEI.

The Person

To succeed in this demanding role you will need to demonstrate the following experience and skills:

  • Qualified accountant ACA or equivalent with 5 years post qualified experience or other relevant industry knowledge 
  • Detailed understanding of transaction work and knowledge of the specific phases of transactions
  • Detailed knowledge of risk management and technical issues including IAS, Companies Act etc
  • Business development experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven experience of managing teams and contributing to their development
  • Ability to build effective networks internally and externally and leverage off these to maximise business development opportunities.
