At
ISK we believe we can help you find the right Interim for your
organization. Once you tell us the nature of your assignment we
will :-
- Firstly ensure we have understood
the assignment correctly, through discussion and feedback.
Ensuring we have understood your assignment correctly is key
to providing you with the interim that has the right experience
and skill sets.
- Engage with you to understand as best
we can your company culture and therefore the kind of Interim
that will best fit with your organization.
- Provide you with a shortlist of best-fit
interim candidates as soon as possible, either directly from
our own database of resources or through our network of partners
within the Interim Management industry.
- Confirm with our client that the right Interim Manager has
been identified, and agree with both parties that the assignment
will proceed.
- During the assignment, at intervals agreed with the client,
review how the engagement is progressing, and in particular
that all expectations are being met.
- Arrange a final review at the assignments conclusion.
Interim Management is a growing industry. More companies are recognizing the benefits of engaging an Interim Manager rather then turning to a new full time employee or reassigning an internal candidate.
A phrase often associated with Interim Managers “appropriately over qualified” is perhaps one of the clearest benefits that signify why this increase in the use of Interims is taking place. An Interim will often have operated at senior management or board level, be a true expert in their industry and therefore represents an excellent option for companies to turn to.
Other benefits include :-
- Speed of fulfillment: It is possible
that an Interim could be place within a week or less of requirements
being received at ISK.
- Flexibility: An interim assignment can allow an organization the time to assess a longer-term solution to a scenario, whilst using a top rate resource to attend to the immediate requirements.
- Value-Add: We have already articulated that an Interim Manager is a very experienced resource, it stands to reason therefore that within a very short space of time the right interim will be adding value to the organization they are placed in.
The Introduction shows a contrast with Management Consultants, a consultant will often fill the role of advisor, whereas an Interim is more likely to be placed in an operational role, be that at Board level or senior management, or to complete a specific one off task, including but not limited to :-
- Business Transactions: E.g. Acquisition, Disposal, Mergers.
- Manage Re-organizations: Perhaps as a result of one of the above listed transactions or maybe a down sizing or relocation period.
- Project Management: E.g.Major IT implementation,
Outsourcing initiative
- Absence: Sometimes through unplanned departures or unfortunate circumstances such as sick leave a company needs to fill a role quickly. These can include: Any operational personnel, CEO/MD, CFO/FD, Treasurer, HR, Manufacturing lead etc.
Before an ISK Interim Manager commences an assignment with our client professional references will have been reviewed and interview(s) conducted.
